New Delhi:
A large -scale storm, after rain, hit Delhi and Noida this evening, disrupted traffic and leading to waterlogging and power cuts in many areas. Hoardings fell and trees were uprooted in many areas, reporting up to 79 km in some areas. Airlines also advised, saying that weather changes could affect flight operations.
A hailstorm in Delhi’s Lodi Road, and Safdarjung was reported from 79 kmph air. Visuals violently showed trees due to strong winds.
Even the heat of pre-monsoon rains came as a relief for the people, many trees and hoardings in the national capital topped due to the storm.
In a post on X, Delhi Airport said that flight operations may be affected due to bad weather, advising passengers to contact the respective airlines for an updated flight schedule.

A series of Western disturbances are affecting northern India, causing rain and thunderstorms to stop. In addition, a cyclonic circulation on the Arabian Sea is pushing moist air in Delhi, which has greatly increased the level of humidity.
