Bhopal:
A political leader, Manohar Lal Dhakad, who was caught in a “compromise situation” with a woman on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, arrested on Sunday by a CCTV camera installed at a nearby toll booth.
The alleged video (IANS does not confirm its authenticity), incorporating local “political leaders” from Mandia, Madhya Pradesh, went viral on Saturday, with widespread discussion with political undertakings.
The footage occupied by CCTV cameras along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, allegedly shows the leader in a “compromise situation” with a woman outside a car on the road, which is engaged in the “Porn Act”.
After the rapid circulation of the video on social media, Bhanpura police station in Mandsaur district took cognizance of public disturbance and pornographic crime, who registered a case against the person.
“He has been arrested under sections 296, 285, and 3 (5) and talking to IANS, in charge of Bhanpura police station.
The woman seen in the “Porn Act” has not been arrested yet.
The police officer said, “We need to conduct a thorough investigation before deciding what legal action can be taken against him. If more people were involved, we will include additional provisions under BNS.”
However, the Bharatiya Janata Party clearly denied that Shri Dhakad was also a primary member of the party.
Yashpal Singh Sisodia, a party spokesperson and a former MLA from Mandsaur, said: “This is a highly objectionable and embarrassing task by a person identified as Manohar Lal Dhakad and a woman. He is also not a primary member of the BJP. However, one can join the party by giving a ‘missed call’ technically.”
Mandsaur District BJP President Rajesh Dixit also said that Shri Dhakad was not a primary member of the party.
Since the video footage emerged online on the night of May 21, 2025, it has attracted significant attention, social media users have debated its implications. Allegedly, Dhakad Mahasabha Yuva Sangh has condemned him with immediate effect.
The accused leader belongs to the Dhakad (Kirar) community.
