Major meetings of PM Modi presidents prepare the Pahgam response as India: 10 points

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin today called the first Prime Minister Narendra Modi and “strongly condemned” in Pahgam on 22 April, he offered “full support” to India in his ongoing battle against terrorism.

  • The people met by PM Modi this evening included National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Principal Officers including Defense Secretary, Home Secretary and other officials in the PMO.

  • Sources said that the meetings were with the Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and both have discussed the fighter readiness of the armed forces.

  • A day after the meeting, Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh met PM Modi.

  • On Saturday, Tripathi of Navy chief Admiral Dinesh informed the Prime Minister on the important sea lane situation in the Arabian Sea.

  • In the earlier meeting with the heads of the armed forces, PM Modi gave them “complete operational freedom” to make the Mode, target and time decision of the Pahgam terror attack response.

  • Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has issued instructions to several states to conduct full -scale fake exercises for civil security, including the operation of air strike warning sirens.

  • Shortly after the April 22 attack, 26 people were shot dead in Pahalgam, Kashmir, India took a series of non-monetary measures that included a freeze on the Indus Water Treaty, closing the attic border and canceling the visa of the citizens of Pakistan.

  • Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has also indicated another possible response, saying, “It is my responsibility to give an answer by working with the armed forces, working with the armed forces, working with those who keep a bad eye on our country”.

  • India has identified five terrorists behind the massacre, three of them Pakistani citizens.
