West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on her 164th birth anniversary on Friday, and said that the Nobel Prize winners’ works are illuminating the whole world.

Ms. Banerjee, in a post on X, also quotes a few lines from the famous collection of the poems ‘Gitanjali’ (Geet Prasad) of Mr. Tagore’s famous collection.

“On the anniversary of the birth of poet Rabindranath Tagore, we pay our heartiest honors and bend it. We remember him not only on the 25th bajkh, but every day. He is in our direction, in our direction, in our language, in our hope – in our hope – in everything! In everything! In everything! The whole world is illuminated by the light of his creation,” said the Chief Minister.

According to the Bengali calendar, Shri Tagore’s birth anniversary is celebrated as ‘Rabindra Jayanti’ on the 25th Bishakh.
