The police officer said on Monday that a person from Uttar Pradesh was arrested from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly kidnapping and murder of a powerloom owner in Bhiwandi in Thane district.
The body of Farakh Ikhlak Ahmed Sheikh (52) was found in a drain near Karivali village on 17 April, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amarsingh Jadhav asked reporters.
The DCP said, “A crime branch team under Senior Inspector Janardan Sonwen organized Rajkumar Rajendra Ram (21) from Korkat in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. He said that he was working in a powerloom and knew the deceased. He claimed that the deceased had demanded a sexual side.”
The DCP said, “Objected by this, Rama allegedly conspired to kidnap Farakh Sheikh and kill the latter.
