Saharanpur:
The body of a 20 -year -old man was found in an agricultural area here, his girlfriend was crying nearby and claimed that he killed herself after a debate with him, police said on Monday.
The incident occurred on Sunday when the farmers going to the fields on the Kurdikheda-Bargarh road saw the body of the man and found the girl crying near him, after which the villagers informed the Bihar police station.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain said that on receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and identified the body from Bharigarh village as Samarej.
He said that Samirez and 18 -year -old girl were in a relationship and were from various religions/communities.
Both of them met in the ground near their house on Sunday morning and made an argument on some, after which Samrej pulled the scarf from his neck, made a nose with him and hung himself from a tree, the officer said.
Police said the body has been sent for post -mortem and the cause of death will be known after the report.
He said that the girl is being questioned and further investigation is going on.
