Man’s mother -in -law killed in Pahgam attack

New Delhi:

Bharat Bhushan, a technology in Bengaluru, was shot dead by terrorists in one of the worst attacks in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The mother -in -law of Mr. Bhushan, who spoke to his “spared” daughter yesterday afternoon, said that the terrorists asked the victims if they were Hindus and then they kept shooting until they fell to the ground.

“He clearly asked if you were Hindus and then he was shot, he was shot because he was a Hindu, he shot my son -in -law … he did not shoot women and children, but shot the men in the head. They kept shooting until they fell down,” he said.

He said, “My daughter is a doctor, she realized that she was dead. She then took mobile and purse and participated. We talked to her at 2.45 pm.”

According to Mr. Bhushan’s mother -in -law, his daughter, Sujath, was taken to a safe place by the Indian Army.

Originally, 41 -year -old Taiki of Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, managed the diagnostic center run by her family. He lived in the Matikare region of Bangalore.

He was on leave with his wife and son.

Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya said on Tuesday night that she had spoken to Ms. Sujath and coordinated with the local administration for her safe stay in Anantnag.

He said, “Now spoke to Mrs. Sujata, a resident of Matikare, Bangalore, Bangalore. Her husband Shri Bharat Bhushan was shot and killed in the first terror attack today. He and her 3 -year -old son survived,” she wrote in a post on X.

Apart from Mr. Bhushan, Manjunath Rao, another Rialtar from Shivamogga, Karnataka, was killed in the Pahalgam attack. He was also on leave with his wife and son.

Pahgam Terror Attack

Twenty -six people were killed and several others were injured as many terrorists landed on the Besaran Valley – a tourist hotspot with Rolling Hills and Veradent Gardens – and set fire on Tuesday. Eyewitnesses said that as the gunshots came out, there was panic among the tourists who ran for the cover. However, there was no place for them to hide in wide, open space, he said.

The disturbing videos also showed arguments for their family members, who were shot.

Among the dead was a naval officer who was married a week ago, an intelligence bureau officer who was shot dead in front of his wife, two foreigners – UAE and Nepal – and two locals.

A large -scale manhunt has been introduced to track terrorists with the Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police. Security agencies today released a picture of four terrorists involved in the attack. Officials said that when they are all associated with Lashkar-e-Tabiba (late), at least two are considered foreigners.

Reports have suggested that ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), a shadow group at the restricted Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (Late) Terror Group, has claimed responsibility. However, the government has not yet confirmed this.
