Bengaluru:
A two-wheeler was molested by a man on a two-wheeler in a crowded park in Bangalore, said that there is a “still big flaws” in the society for the boundaries of the people.
Talking to NDTV on Friday, the woman said that she had come forward to speak what happened to her because she wanted to ensure that women, and generally people, raise their voice against such crimes so that criminals do not get free passes.
Recalling the attack, the survivor said that she was running in the Ecovorld in the Marathhali area around 11.30 pm on Wednesday, when she felt a “huge hit” on her back.
“I was surprised. I thought perhaps a person was riding a vehicle carelessly. The same thing happened again, however, with more intensity. Then I was sure that someone was deliberately doing so,” he said.
The woman said he shouted for help, but no one was found.
“Third time … I could see the man taking a U-turn and was coming for me. I shouted for help, there were many people, it is always a stir area … I asked people for help, I stopped auto drivers, I stopped others … but no one came to help me, it’s the most surprising,” he said. “
‘More vigilant’
The woman said that she wanted to speak about the incident because there is a stigma related to those women who have survived crimes like these.
She said that after the incident, she went to the security booth in Ecoworld, where she was assisted. He approached the police on Thursday and the Deputy Commissioner of Police and Assistant Police Commissioner personally saw the matter.
“Investigation is on. I am crossing my fingers, hope that the man will be caught. It is done to me, and if the man gets a free pass, he can do the same with others,” he said.
On the question of what happened, after that she feels insecure, the woman said that she is more cautious, but also knows how to deal with such situations.
‘Need for change’
He said that instead of looking for someone for such crimes, people will have to start taking responsibility at a personal level so that there is a change in the society.
“If, tomorrow, I have a son, I know what I will teach him. There is a specific conditioning that has infiltrated the society – that men get a free pass for so many behaviors. Even women start taking a free pass for a lot of things, under the pretense of women’sism. So it is about knowing the laws,”
“The fact is that it happened in an area with so many monitoring cameras and security guards … this is the most surprising thing, and is a testimony to the fact that how many security measures we have, there is no difference of a big flaws when it comes to how people are air -conditioned to see each other and respect each other,” he said.
Not afflicted
The woman said that she does not see herself or other women who have faced such situations in the form of victims.
“The person who did so is suffering. Imagine how he will have to mess up the spirit of control by violating someone’s limits. So my message for other women is: Do not suffer yourself … You don’t need to hide behind the curtain … what is doing so is doing something wrong,” he said.
