Mayawati appoints the Chief National Coordinator of nephew Akash Anand BSP

New Delhi:

In an important step, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati on Sunday appointed her nephew Akash Anand as the party’s chief national coordinator.

The decision was made during the meeting of a high-level party and focus on organizational restructuring.

As part of the organizational overhaul, Mayawati has directed the formation of teams by dividing the country into three regions, each of which has led a national coordinator. These three zonal coordinators will directly report to Akash Anand, who have been entrusted with overall responsibility for streamlining party activities and coordination across India.

The BSP supremo hoped that this time Akash Anand, his nephew, would strengthen the ideological foundation of the party by taking all measures in the interest of the party and the movement.

Speaking on development, senior BSP leader Vijay Pratap said, “The whole country has been divided into three regions, and three national coordinators have been appointed for each region. Akash Anand has been given overall responsibility as the chief national coordinator. All our workers across the country are very happy, their morale is high, and Akash Anand is high, and Akash Anand is high, and the organization with the leadership of Akash Ande GI.”

This step comes publicly after Mayawati’s weeks of restoring Akash Anand in the main functioning of the party.

On 29 April, he appealed to the party’s employees to support and encourage Akash, who were previously removed from the major responsibilities.

In a detailed post on the social media platform X, Mayawati explained the party’s internal mobility and defended her decision.

He wrote, “Some BSP members, ignorance, over-enthusiasm, negligence, or misled by opposition conspiracies, are sometimes removed from responsibilities, and, in serious cases, are expelled. After reflecting some of them and apologizing, they are taken back in the interest of party and movement.

Criticizing the return of Akash, he said, “Some selfish and sellable elements within a multiplicity society, which have swimming their own parties to divide the BSP vote, are spreading false propaganda in the media about their return.”
