Mumbai:
Police said on Friday that a third -year MBBS student was allegedly raped by two of her classmates and a friend in Sangli district of Maharashtra.
The police have arrested three accused persons, who are from Pune, Solapur and Sangli. An official said that a court had sent him to police custody till 27 May.
The 22 -year -old medical student was allegedly targeted on May 18, when he and the accused planned to watch a film in the theater around 10 pm. Earlier, the accused took him to a flat for a brief stop.
The accused, who was under the influence of alcohol, offered him a pointed drink. He felt ghost after consumption, the survivor told the police.
The three aged 20 to 22 allegedly sexually harassed her and threatened her with serious consequences while talking about her.
The survivor, originally from Belgavi in Karnataka, later narrated the incident to his parents, after which he approached Vishrambag police station.
The accused has been booked under the Indian Justice classes for gang rape and other allegations.
The police is also analyzing the complainant’s statement, said that another investigation is going on.
