On Monday, an inconsistent Sana handed over to two of her young children, at the age of three, on the attic border to her Pakistani husband, in the latest family incident, the neighboring citizens living in India separated after the central government’s decision to cancel the short -term visa of the citizens of the country.
Married to a doctor from Karachi, Sana from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh was forced to participate with his three -year -old son and one -year -old daughter due to visa rules and central government instructions in view of terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahgam, in which 26 civilians were killed on 22 April.
Family members who came with Sana on Tuesday said that she was incompatible after sending her children, both Pakistani citizens across the border.
After the Government of India canceled the visa of Pakistani citizens, Sana used to pass her young children to her husband at the attic border. Children have Pakistani passports while Sana remains an Indian citizen.
Breaking in tears, Sana said, “I ask the government, why are mothers being separated from their children? What is my fault?” Sana said that she had entered India on a 45 -day visa and cannot return to Pakistan as she has not been given Pakistani citizenship yet.
She married Bilal, a resident of Karachi in 2020. He said that it may take four years to obtain Pakistani citizenship.
Inspector Pratap Singh, in -charge of Sardha police station, told PTI, “We informed Sana two days ago that, according to government orders, they will have to return to Pakistan. According to the government’s decision, only Pakistani citizens living in India are allowed to live on a long -term visa (LTV), while those are being renamed on short -term visas.
Officials said that the process of sending Pakistani citizens back started after the central government’s decision after the horrific terrorist attack in Pahgam.
