Ministry of aviation gives principles for airports in Rajasthan, Odisha


New Delhi:

The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Monday provided theory for Greenfield Airport in Kota, Rajasthan and Puri in Odisha.

Kota is the parliamentary constituency of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

“Their continuous engagement with the Ministry of Civil Aviation has been one of the driving forces to speed up this approval.

The ministry said in a release, “The proposed airport will not only serve Kota City, known as a major educational and industrial center, but will also fulfill the growing population and economic activity in the Headoti region.”

According to the ministry, the decision to set up an airport in Puri will give a big boost to religious tourism, regional development and overall connectivity in the region.

Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu has provided in-primary approval for the establishment of Greenfield Airports in Kota and Puri.

India is one of the fastest growing civil aviation markets in the world and has more than 150 operations airports.
