A 42 -year -old manager at a Gurgaon -based IT multinational company, who went missing under mysterious circumstances last week, was found alive in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, police said on Friday.

He said that the person had allegedly staged his disappearance to avoid growing financial liabilities.

Officials said his car was released and unlocked near a drain in Kakarola region of South -West Delhi, fearing that he might have jumped into the water body, the officials said.

The investigation revealed that the person had formulated his mobile phone a day before the disappearance, which increased the doubt. Eventually, his place was revealed from a Dharmashala in Ayodhya, where he was found hiding, the officer said.
