Indian Air Force (IAF) group captain Shubanshu Shukla will take Moong Dal Halwa, Indian Rice and Mango Amrit among other Indian cuisine, when he fly to the International Space Station (ISS) next month, becomes the first Indian to do so.
Director of the Human Space Flight Center of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru. According to DK Singh, Shri Shukla will have Indian cuisine while living in space.
Mr. Singh said, “He will have Indian food, such as moong dal pudding, Indian rice and mango nectar, while in space,” said Mr. Singh.

Mr. Shukla has been scheduled to pilot a private astronaut mission, Xiom Mission 4, which will ride in a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule on a Falcon 9 rocket. In 1984, he visited space four decades after Rakesh Sharma’s prestigious spaceflight at Russia’s Soyuz Spacecraft.
The mission, which is jointly being launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and ISRO, was to be launched 29 May But there is a delay in June, ISRO President V Narayanan said on Tuesday.
According to Shri Narayanan, the price of Mission, which will be away from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, will be priced at Rs 550 crore.
Shri Shukla Pengi Whitson, a former NASA astronaut and mission commander, Slavose will be with Uznanski-Viznivski’s Poland and Hungary to Tibor Kapu. Once do the dock, astronauts are scheduled to spend for 14 days aboard the parikrama laboratory, which operates a mission including science, outreach and commercial activities.

Group Captain Shukla Astronauts will serve as nominated and mission pilots. A decorated test pilot with IAF, he was shortlisted under ISRO’s Human Spaceflight Program (HSP) and is one of India’s first indigenous crew orbital flight, one of the top claimants of the Gaganian mission. His journey in Axiom Mission 4 is expected to provide significant hands on the operation of space, launch protocols, microgravity adaptation, and important hands in emergency preparations – all necessary for India’s driven space ambitions.
Dr. Narayanan told NDTV “He has full faith in Shri Shukla’s abilities that will successfully fulfill the mission”.
Underlining the importance of the upcoming human spacefall, Minister of State (MOS) for Science and Technology (MOS) Jitendra Singh said: “India is ready for its next space milestone.”
He also said that strategic speed of projects such as international partners and strategic motion of Gaganian Mission reflects India’s commitment to become a global leader in space technology. He emphasized that these efforts are not only scientists in nature, but also combine with the vision of a developed and self -sufficient India.
Mr. Shukla Will Conduct seven experiments In the field of agriculture, food and human biology when he travels to ISS next month.
India has also chosen the group captain Prasant Balakrishnan Nair as a designated astronaut, which will become part of the X -4. Shri Shukla should be unable to fly.
