Mumbai:
A Mumbai official said that a woman and her teenage lover were arrested on Monday in connection with the rape and murder of her two -year -old daughter.
The official said the child was brought to a government hospital on Sunday night with injuries to his private parts, after which the doctors alerted the police. The child later died.
The Malwani police station official said, “The 19 -year -old accused had sex with a 30 -year -old woman and then raped the child in her presence. The woman, however, told the doctors that the child was suffering from epilepsy.”
Based on a medical report, the woman and her teenage lover were arrested under the Bharti Nyana Code and said for the safety of children from sexual offenses (POCSO) for rape, murder and other crimes.
He said, “The woman was staying with her child at her mother’s house after her divorce. Then she entered a relationship with a 19 -year -old man.”
