Bhubaneswar:
Health Minister Pankaj Singh said on Thursday that it will implement a comprehensive health management information system (HMIS) towards digital transformation in Healthcare.
He said that as part of the scheme, a centralized healthcare control room that is equipped with a strong dashboard for monitoring real -time data such as bed availability, drug stock, clinical trends and resource usage, will be installed in all Delhi hospitals, he said.
The system will also facilitate centralized alert and will generate actionable insights for decision making and improving governance.
A 20 -year -old Nepali student of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) at Bhubaneswar, Odisha was found hanging from the sealing fan of his hostel room on Thursday, police said.
The incident is barely two and a half months after the suicide of another Nepalese student, Prakrit Lamsal, another Nepali student from the same institute on 16 February 2025.
A senior official said that the body of B Tech Student was recovered from room number 111 of Ladies Hostel of the institute.
She was a computer science student and chased her B.Tech, said that her identity has not been revealed.
Police Commissioner S. Dev Dutta Singh told PTI, “Yes, the body of a girl from Nepal has been recovered. It seems that she has committed suicide in the Ladies Hostel of Pest.”
No comments were made with KIIT officials on the death of the Nepali student.
