Police said a 22 -year -old man allegedly hacked his father to avenge his mother’s murder in Sundargarh district of Odisha on Monday.
The body of 55 -year -old Kranti Kumar Barma was found in a ground in Bhalupatra village of Brahmani Tarang police station in the morning, he said.
Police claimed that his son Bishanu admitted to killing him to avenge his murder, saying he had no regrets for this.
Burma was out of jail in December last year after serving his wife’s sentence for killing. Police said Bishanu was a child when his father killed his mother, and he saw him.
Local people claimed that Burma was violent and often misbehaved with the women of the village. He used to kill his son without any reason.
Police said an investigation was going on, and the body of Burma was sent for the post -mortem examination.
