On the day before the exam, NEET dies of suicide in aspirant quota

Police said NEET Aspirant allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from an iron grill of his room in Parshavanath area before the National Medical Entrance Examination on Sunday.

Refusing to disclose the student’s name, Circle Inspector Arvind Bhardwaj at the Kunhadi police station told PTI that the girl was under 18 years of age and was from Shopur in Madhya Pradesh.

She had been living with her parents in Kota for the last several years and was preparing for NEET-UG at a coaching institute.

The student was scheduled to take the NEET-OG exam which will be held on Sunday in various centers across the country.

The girl used her scarf to hang herself from an iron rust in her room on Saturday evening. Family members were allegedly at home at the time of the incident and found him dead around 9 pm.

No suicide note was recovered from his room, he said, the body has been sent for postmortem.

In particular, this is the 14th case of suicide by a coaching student in Kota this year from January this year. A total of 17 cases of suicide were reported by coaching students in Kota last year.
