On the OP Sindoor, the army says, “More than 100 terrorists were killed in 9 terrorist hubs,” the army says on OP vermilion

New Delhi:

The Indian Air Force (IAF) identified nine targets in Pakistan after a careful deliberation under Operation Sindoor, and started attacks on 7 May, killing more than 100 terrorists, senior military officials told reporters at a press briefing in Delhi today.

India’s military attacks in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) were only to kill terrorists and avoid collateral damage.

Lieutenant General Rajeev Gai, Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti, Vice Admiral a pramod and Major General Sandeep S. Sharda gave detailed briefing.

The first night when Pakistan launched a drone herd, India’s air defense stopped most of them and also started a reversal, which destroyed a radar installation in Lahore, Pakistan.

Lieutenant General Rajiv Gai said that even on the land, he took several steps to stop Pakistani attacks.

“Pakistan lost 35–40 personnel in firing by Indian forces along the Line of Control,” said Lieutenant General Gai.

Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti said that Pakistani drones targeted several IAF installations. They were all intercepted and there was no damage on the ground, Air Marshal Bharti said.

Air Marshal Bharti said, “A decision was then taken, where it was hurt … a sharp, coordinated, calibrated attack hit the air locations, command centers, infrastructure on the entire western front … a clear message would not be tolerated, saying that aggression would not be tolerated,” Air Marshal Bharti said.
