OnePlus 13S is set to launch in India on 5 June and the company unveiled OnePlus AI, it is a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) suit for its equipment on Tuesday. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer also revealed the functionalities of the new plus key, which has been confirmed to debut at the upcoming OnePlus 13S. Hardware buttons can be used for many utility features, as well as to activate a couple of AI tools. Among them is the new AI Plus Mind feature, which allows users to save, catalog and revive.

Similar to Galaxy AI or Apple Intelligence, the new OnePlus AI branding is a umbrella term for all AI features on the company’s equipment. In particular, the consumer technology brand began offering AI features in its devices with a rollout of Oxygenos 15 updates.
The first new feature released as part of OnePlus AI is called AI Plus Mind. The company describes it as a catalog tool where users can save any on-screen information quickly as a screenshot.
Users can visit the mind space tool to resume information from the screenshot saved using natural language questions. While it sounds like a recall facility of microsoft, it only works when the user manually activates it.
OnePlus highlighted that this feature could not only capture the screenshot, but also analyze images using a computer vision. Providing an example, the company said, the AI Plus Mind feature can remove the schedule details from an image and add them directly to the user’s calendar. Additionally, this feature will automatically classify the material saved at the end of this year.
In particular, the AI Plus Mind feature will first debut on OnePlus 13S, and later an over-the-air (OTA) update will be expanded through the entire OnePlus 13 lineup.
In addition, OnePlus also announced that its first-party apps would now be integrated with Gemini of Google. With this, users can ask Mithun AI Assistant to complete tasks in apps such as OnePlus notes, clock, and more. There is no word from the company when this integration will be rolled out for users.
In March, Oppo unveiled private computing cloud (PCC), which is a more safe way to share data with a cloud-based AI tool for users. It applies measures such as encryption and reliable execution environment (TEE) to protect the data when storing on the cloud. OnePlus has now confirmed that it will also implement PCC for some OnePlus AI facilities.
In addition to the AI announcements, OnePlus has finally expanded the functionalities of the plus key. The adaptable hardware button, which replaces the alert slider, can be programmed for tasks such as switching sound profiles, launching the camera or starting recording. Additionally, the button will also activate the new AI Plus Mind feature, as well as the existing AI translation feature.
