Pak woman living in India for 35 years asked to go back

New Delhi:

Pakistani National, who has been living in India for 35 years, has asked the Odisha Police to immediately leave India. Officials confirmed that Sarda Bai’s visa had been canceled and directed to return to Pakistan without delay. The police have warned that if he fails to follow the removal order, legal action will be taken against him.

The police are part of a series of measures taken to combat Pakistan after the Pahalgam massacre.

Sarad Bai was married to a Hindu family in Bolangir and he tied the knot with Mahesh Kukreja many years ago. His son and daughter are Indian.

Despite being all the major documents including voter ID, he was never given Indian citizenship.

He has now requested that the government not separate him from his family.

With folded hands, he has allowed to live in India, in the country in which he has called home for three decades.

“I was in Koraput for the first time, then Bolangir came. I have no one in Pakistan … even my passport is old. I ask the government and with folded hands, please allow me to stay here. I have two big children, grand children … I want to live here as an Indian,” he said.

His petition for the government has touched many hearts, but the Bolangir police have said that they will take action under the law. The situation is tense.

India’s non-monetary measures announced on Wednesday-the day after the massacre in Pahgam, Kashmir, which costs 26 lives-including immediate and indefinite suspensions of the Indus Water Treaty, which are closing the attic border and canceling the visas of all Pakistan citizens currently in India.

The terrorist attack on Sunday was the worst in the years, especially targeting tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

A Lashkar-e-Tabiba offshoot terrorist emerged from the pine forests around the scenic grasslands of Besaran, often called “Mini Switzerland” and set a group of unheard tourists on fire.
