New Delhi:
Pakistan’s claims have been told that India had shot its religious places with a sharp reminder today by the Ministry of External Affairs – that it was firing across the Line of Pakistani Control that destroyed a gurudwara and killed several Sikhs in Ponch in Jammu and Kashmir.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said, “These claims are completely false. Pakistan is misusing religious places to inspire radical and terrorists.” Yesterday, Pakistan said “a gurdwara in Poonach, a target attack on Sikhs, killed three people,” said.
Overall, there are 16 people costing shelling and firing from across the Line of Control and injuring 59 people.
Operation Sindor, the government and the army have repeatedly underlined, non-esclery, accurate, controlled and measured, destroying terrorist bases at 9 places in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Mr. Misri also said that the terrorist attack of 22 April in Pahalgam was “original growth” by Pakistan, to which India has responded.
“Pakistan increased on April 22, we are only responding to the growth. If the response would be in the appropriate domain,” Mr. Misri said.
In his statement by Operation Sindoor, India specifically mentioned that Pakistani military establishments were not targeted. In the beginning of today, Pakistan tried to target several military goals including Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, North and Bhuj in northern and western India.
But its efforts were thwarted by the armed forces, which later responded by targeting air defense radars and systems at many places in Pakistan. The government said that the air defense system in Lahore has been neutralized.
The government said the Indian response was in the same domain (and) with the same intensity as an attacks launched by Pakistan.
