New Delhi:
The Standing Committee of Parliament abroad unanimously condemned the trolling of Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and praised his professional conduct, sources said on Monday.
Vikram Misri Pahgam was giving information about the parliamentary panel on the India-Pakistan military conflict after the terrorist attack.
The Foreign Secretary faced heavy trolling on social media in view of India and Pakistan, which on May 10 made an understanding to stop all military works. However, he was supported by political leaders, former bureaucrats and defense veterans.
Under the chairmanship of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, several MPs attended the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, which included TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee, Congress’ Rajiv Shukla and Vayamander Huda, Aimim chief Asaduddin Owissi and BJP’s Amazita and Arun.
The meeting comes against the backdrop of the Indian Armed Forces, which forward Operation Sindoor to avenge the Pahalgam attack between the two countries and the subsequent military functions.
