A Srinagar-bound Indigo flight from Delhi, with more than 200 passengers, experienced strong disturbance on the board as it was navigated through an unexpected hailstorm that damaged a small part of the nose of the aircraft on Wednesday.
In a viral video from inside Indigo Flight 62142, passengers and children can be heard screaming and crying in crisis as the aircraft violently shakes after being stuck in the storm. Electric glow can be seen through airplane videos.
According to officials, the turbulent season Midair inspired the pilot to report “emergency” for air traffic control in Srinagar. Fly with 227 passengers, later landed safely at 6.30 pm.

The airline said in a statement, “IndiGo Flight 6E 2142 faced sudden hailstorm in operation from Delhi to Srinagar. Flight and cabin crew followed the established protocol and the aircraft landed safely in Srinagar.”
“The airport team participated after the arrival of the aircraft after the arrival of the aircraft after giving priority to their good and comfort. The aircraft will be issued after the necessary inspection and maintenance,” it said.

The airline did not say no damage, but a viral image on social media showed that a part of the aircraft was broken due to the impact of unrest. The damage was confirmed by NDTV.
