PM cut short Saudi travel after J&K attack, to leave for India tonight: Source

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will cut his visit to Saudi Arabia and will leave for India tonight, government sources say 26 lives have been claimed after a terrorist attack in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir, which officials say that the worst attacks are on citizens over the years.

The day after PM Modi met with American vice -president JD Vance, there were murders, who are on a four -day visit to India with his wife Usha and children.

Terrorists set fire to a famous meadow near Pahalgam city in Kashmir, which was “Mini Switzerland” and about 90 km from the major city of Srinagar, and the tourists were told by milling, pony rides or picnicing around eatery, officials and witnesses.

Earlier in the day, as the news of the attack spread, the Prime Minister dialed Home Minister Amit Shah and asked him to go to the center area.

Amit Shah landed in Srinagar after 9 pm and went straight from the airport to Raj Bhavan.

Jammu Director General and Kashmir Police Nalin Prabhat informed the Home Minister on his arrival. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka were present at the time of briefing.

In the afternoon, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that “the attack is much larger than anything directed to citizens in recent years”.

“This attack on our visitors is a hatred,” he said in a statement. “The criminals of this attack are animals, inhuman and worthy of contempt.”
