PM Modi congratulated Anthony Albani on being elected as Australian PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Anthony Albani for his stunning victory and the election as the Prime Minister of Australia, and said that he was eager to work with him to deepen India-Australia wide strategic partnership.

Anthony Albani has become the first Australian Prime Minister to win the second term of three consecutive years in 21 years.

Modi said on X, “Congratulations about your brilliant victory as the Prime Minister of Australia and the election again! This strong mandate indicates the permanent belief of the Australian people under your leadership.”

“I look forward to working together to further deepen India-Australia wide strategic partnership and pursue our shared vision for peace, stability and prosperity in India-Pacific,” he said.
