PM Narendra Modi meets today to preside over the key cabinet panel. Why is it important

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over an important meeting of the Cabinet Committee on political affairs or CCPA – the most important committee of the cabinet also called “Super Cabinet”. The meeting comes after a round of the security meeting of the Cabinet Committee – next Wednesday – after the shocking massacre of tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir last week.

Following the first round of the CCS meeting, the government announced a series of non-melodious measures against Pakistan, including freeze on the Indus Water Treaty, closing the attic border and canceling the visa.

CCPA function

CCPA reviews and decide the country’s important political and economic matters and is found on important occasions.

The CCPA mainly consider the relationship between the Center and the states, especially when it is required to form a consensus.

Economic policies and internal security issues are discussed and decided which have political implications.

It also helps in coordination between various ministries on issues that have far -reaching political consequences.

In addition, CCPA also discusses foreign policy issues and decides which is likely to impact the country’s politics.

The CCPA is chaired by the Prime Minister and it is chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Road Transport and Traffic Minister Nitin Gadkari, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitatharaman, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, Health Minister JP Nadda, Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu, Shipping Minister, Shipping Minister, Shipping Minister, Shipping Minister, Shipping Minister. Welfare Minister Annapurna Devi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy.

Cabinet ministers of allied parties have also been given a place in CCPA.
