Prime Minister Narendra Modi today targeted the Congress on the decline of trees in Hyderabad, which has already turned into a government versus civil society Roe. This week will be heard again this week by the Supreme Court, with a report that a 400 -acre parcel – which the government is planning to develop – has been inhabited by birds and animals and birds.
Speaking at a government program in Haryana, PM Modi said today, “The Congress government in Telangana forgot its promise from the people.”
He said, “The Congress government is busy running bulldozers in the forests. Loss to the environment, there is a threat to animals, this is their work process. We are trying to make energy from waste and they are destroying the forests,” he said.

The Telangana High Court Registrar presented a report stating that a large number of trees have fallen in the area which have been settled by deer, peacocks and other birds.
The court said, “The reports of the Registrar (Judicial) of the High Court of Telangana depicted a dangerous picture in the photographs sent by him. A large number of trees are being dropped and moreover, the huge machinery is being deployed, which has already destroyed the area of about 100 acres,” the court said.
The case will be heard again on 16 April by a bench of Justice Bra Gavai and Augustine George Maasih.
The government, which claims ownership of land adjacent to the university campus, is trying to set up an IT park.
But when the bulldozers arrived at the beginning of this month to level the land, the students staged a protest that the land development would kill the forest, destroy its flora and fauna and cut the city’s green lungs.
Raising the slogans of “Go back”, they climbed over the heavy machines, causing a face to face. Dozens were detained but were later released.
The government said that redevelopment will bring in investment.
