Police said a fire broke out in a police ‘Malkhana’ (yard) in the Wazirabad area of North -East Delhi, in which more than 150 vehicles were damaged, police said.
To respond to the fire department rapidly, the blaze began around 4:30 am.
He said that a total of seven fire tenders were taken to the site to sink the flames.
The situation was brought under control by 6:20 am.
According to a police source, more than 150 vehicles – four wheelers and two wheelers were burnt by fire.
The police have started an investigation to learn about the cause of the explosion. The source said that teams are also investigating CCTV footage.
