Prashant Kishore prevented Nitish Kumar from entering the ancestral village

Bihar sharif:

John Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore was prohibited from entering Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from entering the native village Kalyan Bigha on Sunday, where he wanted to interact with the local people during a visit to Nalanda district.

Mr. Kishore, who wanted to launch his party’s signature campaign, was prevented from entering the village by the district administration and security personnel, demanding a response to the “incomplete” government promises from the CM’s ancestral village. Mr. Kishore and his party worker wanted to face face to face with the residents of Kalyan Bigha.

Officials said that the Jan Suraj Party had not taken prior permission to organize such a meeting in Kalyan Bigha.

“Jan Suraj Party had sought permission to hold a public meeting on May 18 at Bihar Sharif (District Headquarters of Naland) … The district administration had allowed them. The party did not ask for permission to organize such a program in Kalyan Bigha … That is why they were not allowed to enter the village,

“A lot of preparation is required by the district administration, including the police, including the police to hold public meetings at a particular place.

Talking to the media persons, where he was stopped, Mr. Kishore said he wanted to interact with the local people, but was stopped.

“I wanted to interact with the local people to see the situation in CM’s ancestral village Kalyan Bigh. But I am not allowed.

In an oral exchange with district administration officials, Mr. Kishore was heard saying, “Will you stop me from entering the village? Do I need permission to go to the village? I want you to give it in writing, and then I will return. We are the people who follow the law …”

The SDM was heard saying, “You need permission because the law-and-order situation may occur. People have filed a complaint.”

Later, Prashant Kishore went to Bihar Sharif and addressed the gathering and also started the signature campaign. The party launched a signature campaign, demanding an answer on “incomplete” government promises.

The signature campaign will focus on three points – Nitish government promises to give Rs 2 lakh to 94 lakh poor families, 3 decimal lands to Mahadalad families and for corruption in the ongoing land survey.

Earlier, Mr. Kishore had said that a Jaan Suraj Party delegation would collect signature from one crore people in 40,000 villages of the state by 11 July.

The signature will then be presented to the Governor and CM if the government reveals the “failure” within a month, which is the status of giving Rs 2 lakh in each of the 94 lakh poor families identified in the caste survey and the situation to provide land to the land.
