Wayanad:
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said on Sunday that her party would fully support any action in response to the terrorist attack in Pahgam, in which 26 people were killed.
He said that the Congress Working Committee (CWC) has already passed a resolution confirming the stand.
Speaking during his two -day visit to Venad, the AICC general secretary hoped that the central government would work fast in view of the attack.
“Congress party … met the CWC, and we passed a resolution. In the proposal, we have said that we are fully standing that whatever action the government decides to take. And we hope that they take action soon,” he told reporters here when a reaction was sought on the matter.
On Friday, the Congress urged the Center to work firmly in view of the Pahgam terrorist attack to punish Pakistan for continuous export of terror to Pakistan, and pressurized the “serious laps” in security and intelligence in one of the country’s heaviest areas.
The opposition party made claims in a resolution passed by the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, which was chaired by party chief Mallikrajun Kharge and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, and General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal and Priyanka participated.
Earlier, the Congress MP handed over a new ambulance for the wounded and sick animals to the forest officials of the Wayanad Wildlife Division in Sultan Bathri, saying party sources.
The ambulance funded from the development fund of MP through Rs 15 lakh was closed at a function held at the One Division Office in Sultan Bathri.
Following a request by forest officials, Vadra also visited the Animal Dharamshala and the subcutaneous care unit, where the occupied aggressive tigers are placed, and reviewed its operation.
Officials informed him that the shelter is currently adjusting cats greater than its intended capacity.
He also highlighted better facilities and immediate needs of additional funds to manage the increasing number of animals.
Meanwhile, the family of former Wannad DCC treasurer NM Vijayan, who died of suicide a few months ago, alleged that local party leaders prevented him from meeting Vadra.
His daughter -in -law claimed that she did not get any assistance from the party despite assurance from the MP during her recent visit.
