Palghar:
Police said on Thursday that a person allegedly strangled his 15 -year -old son and hanged himself at his house in Palghar district of Maharashtra.
An official said that the incident took place on Wednesday in Pimphalsheth village of tribal-fetus Johar taluka.
Sub-Inspector Anil Digole said that Sharad Bhoy (40), a conductor with Brihanambh Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (Best), strangled his son Bhavesh with a wire rope.
He said that Sharad was under suspension for the last three months and was depressed about the situation.
According to preliminary investigation, Bhoy went to his farmhouse around noon on Wednesday and after returning home from school, strangled his son, a class 10 student, and also beat the boy’s body on the floor, causing fatal injuries.
The officer said that the man hanged himself from the roof in another room of the house.
He said that Bhoy’s father, who lived nearby, discovered the bodies and the authorities were alerted.
The official said the bodies were sent for post -mortem, and a case was registered.
