If the device is disconnected from the network for an extended period, the offline device lock automatically locks the screen. With a UI 7 update, Samsung has released new anti-robbery features. There are two characteristics. The first is an identity check, which asks users to make biometric authentication for any change in sensitive safety settings at the unfamiliar location. The second feature is safety delay, which combines a delay of one hour when users try to reset biometric data to prevent robbers from taking control of the device. Its objective is to provide users the time to lock the stolen phone before the unauthorized access.
