Samsung brings new anti-robbery features through a UI 7

In a news room PostSamsung highlighted that it is expanding the list of devices that are receiving new anti-robbery features with updated anti-fisheries and a UI 7 update. These features were previously released for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, and now available for Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z fold 6, Z flip 6, z fold 5, and Z Flip 5. The company said that more equipment would be equipped with these features at the end of 2025.

The OS update begins the theft security, a new suit of Samsung’s security facilities. The suite will include existing features such as lock detection lock, offline device lock, and remote locks, as well as new anti-robbery features such as identity checks and security delays.

In particular, the South Korean tech veteran stated that the theft security suits are built on Android-powered security measures that are effective in scenarios where thieves do not know the device’s pin. Additionally, a UI7 also combines new features for more important scenarios where credentials can be brought into contact with the dacoit.

Samsung’s anti-robbery features are aimed at later. When the device is in an unfamiliar location, the identity of a biometric authentication checks sensitive safety settings. With this, even if the pin is exposed, the user can ensure that data is not compromised. Another such feature is safety delay, which triggers an hour’s waiting period if one attempts to reset the biometric data of the device. If a device is stolen, this buffer allows users to lock the phone from a distance from a connected device (such as PC or Tablet), before the bad actor can reach the settings.
