Samsung’s latest Galaxy S25 series is called in high demand with the highest sales number recording among consumers with Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to a financial services firm, the top-of-the-line handset performed better than both its siblings, Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, which is in terms of sales, despite the command of a significantly higher value tag. Samsung has sold 9.16 million units in all three models, which is about half of its total smartphone sales.
Samsung Galaxy S25 series sales numbers
An investor note by South Korean Financial Services firm Hana Securities (Through Samomobile) suggests that Samsung has so far sold 5.08 million units of Galaxy S25 Ultra. Meanwhile, the base Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ sales numbers are estimated to be 2.41 million and 1.67 million units respectively. It keeps the joint sales number of both phones in 4.08 million – one million units less than the sales of Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Given these numbers, the Galaxy S25 seems to be a preferred option among the S25 series buyers, despite the tags of higher price than the ultra standard and plus models. The price of the phone in India starts at Rs. For the base model with 1,29,999 and $ 1,299 in the US with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB inbuilt storage.
The smartphone was launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January and in just three months, a total of 9.16 million units have been sold. For March 2025, Samsung’s total smartphone sales were reported to be 20.29 million units, which increased by five percent in February. However, this is reported to be a decline in Yoy two percent from last year.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Specification
The Samsung Galaxy S25 is the top-of-the-line phone of the Ultra Company, with a 6.9-inch (1,400×3,120 pixels) dynamic amoled 2x screen with a 1Hz-120Hz variable refresh rate and up to 2,600nits peak brightness. It is powered by a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy Chip, along with 12 GB RAM and 1 TB to built-in storage. It shipblies with Android 15-based UI 7.
For optics, the Galaxy S25 Ultra contains a rear quad camera setup, including a 2X in-sensor zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS) and a f/1.7 aperture and a 120-degree camera with an updated 50-megapixel ultravide camera and a 200-metergapixel lead with f/1.9. It also has a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom and OIS and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. On the front, the handset sports a 12-megapixel selfie camera with a f/2.2 aperture for selfie and video calls.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged on 45W (wired) and 15W (wireless).
