The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to begin in January next year, but speculation about the upcoming smartphone is already roaming on the web. Samsung can replace standard and plus variants in the new lineup with new Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 edge models. A recent leakage has now revealed details about the battery capabilities of the equipment. Both Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge are expected to improve the current Galaxy S25 and S25 Edge models.

According to a report by Galaxylub (Dutch), Samsung will be a rated in Galaxy S26 Pro Battery capacity of 4,175mAh. Samsung is expected to advertise as 4,300mAh. If this leak proves to be true, it will represent a slight upgrade on the 4,000mAh battery available on the Galaxy S25. Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy Z Flip 7 also has 4,300mAh cells.
In addition, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Edge is said to come up with a rated battery capacity of 4,078mAh, which was probably marketed as 4,200mAh. This can mark an improvement on the Galaxy S25 age, which faced criticism for its minor 3,900mAh battery (review), which is a limit responsible for its thin construction.
The Galaxy S26 Pro is reportedly associated with the Kodename M1 and the model number bears SM-S942. In contrast, the Galaxy S26 Edge is reportedly associated with Kodename M2 and model number SM-S947.
In recent years, Samsung’s Galaxy S Lineup usually includes three models – base variants, a plus version and ultra. However, a recent report states that Samsung is planning a shake-up for next year’s Galaxy S26 series. Instead of standard Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+, the new Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 are expected to introduce the South Korean brand. These models are likely to start with the Galaxy S26 Ultra in January.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to facilitate a 5,000mAh battery similar to its predecessor. It is expected to offer 60W charging support. The Galaxy S26 series are rumored to come with 16GB RAM options in all markets. The recent leaks claimed that the Galaxy S26 Edge would be slimmer compared to the Galaxy S25 Edge. The company expects to use ‘new battery content technology’ for new edge phones. It may have a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera sensor.
