Samsung launched its campaign for the next generation Galaxy Z fold smartphone earlier this month. While there is still no official word from the South Korean tech giant on a launch date, a new leak shows that the Galaxy Unpacked event for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will take place in July. Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup and new Galaxy buds during the launch event.
Tipster Ivan Blass on X (@evleaks) claimed that Samsung will host the next Galaxy Unpacked event On 9 July 2025. The incident is said to start from EDT (7:30 PM IST) at 10:00 pm. Initial rumors suggested that Samsung Galaxy would be in unpacked New York.
According to the new leakage, it appears that Samsung will stick to its summer galaxy unpacked event with a window of early July. Last year, the brand unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 on 10 July.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: What to expect
Samsung has already started teasing the arrival of its new foldables. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is confirmed to come with better AI tools and enhanced secrecy features. The new lineup is considered ‘the thinnest, the lightest and the most advanced foldable yet’. Clameshell foldable is likely to be equipped with an exinos 2500 chipset, while the book-style foldable Snapdragon 8 can run on a elite chipset.
In addition, the brand is expected to introduce the standard Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 with an affordable fan edition (F) version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The Galaxy Watch 8 series, including Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) models, also estimated in its debut.
Several rumors also show that Samsung will bring its audio wearbals, including Galaxy Buds Corps and Galaxy Buds 3 Fee to launch its audio wearbals. The brand is rumored to tease its first XR headset, project Mooohan and its three-fold phone during the incident.
