Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 chipset was given up; The first Samsung may be foldable to adopt a double-tip strategy

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July this year, maintaining its specific release schedule for foldable devices. Although it is yet to confirm the existence of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, there have been many rumors about the chipset of the next Chlamshell foldable phone. A new report emanating from Korea states that Samsung will follow the dual-chip strategy for its foldable smartphone. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 may be the first Samsung foldable to use the company’s own exinos chipset.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 can use Snapdragon 8 Elite in America

As mentioned by Korean media outlet Hankang, Samsung will use Exynos 2500 in the domestic version (Korean) Galaxy Z Flip 7 K. Meanwhile, in other areas including North America, the phone will allegedly run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset. In particular, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is said to use Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset in all markets.

If Samsung is affixed to the plan of this rumor, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may be Samsung’s first fold to adopt a dual-chip strategy. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer used Qualcomm Chips with its own exynos chips to provide electricity to its Galaxy S series in the past years. It used Snapdragon processor in its major phones in select markets like America, while Exynos was used for equipment in other markets including India.

There has been a lot of disagreement on the web, on which the chipset will use Galaxy Z Flip 7. While some rumors pointed to Exynos 2500 chipset, others suggested a Snapdragon 8 Elite Sok. If Samsung decides to go with Exynos 2500 chipset, it will represent the departure from the company’s previous dependence on the Snapdragon processor of Qualcomm for its foldable lineup. Snapdragon 8 General 3 is equipped with mobile platforms for last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 Galaxy.

The Exynos 2500 of Samsung is believed to be manufactured using the advanced 3Nm process. Using the in-house chipset can help the brand offer more competitive pricing for Galaxy Z Flip 7 and a better software and hardware synstmony.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to be unveiled with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July. It is rumored to be a 3.6 -inch cover display and a 6.8 -inch internal screen. The phone can pack a dual camera unit that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. It can pack 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging support.
