The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to be launched as the successor of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 later this year. The current chlameshell foldable is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 General 3 chipset. The company’s handset was first tipped to make its debut with a Snapdragon 8 Elite SOC later this year. There are contradictory reports about the smartphone using the in-house Exynos 2500 chip. Later a new report that repeats the claim has recently surfaced online, as well as with anticipated production timeline of foldable phones.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 chipset details
The alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be operated by an in-house exinos 2500 chipset, according to A Report By Chosunbiz. Large -scale production for handsets is expected to begin in May, and 200,000 units are tipped to manufacture by June. The report states that the phone will be launched in July.
The report stated that the company bent over an exinos chip above Snapdragon due to price and production concerns. Since the brand aims to construct only 200,000 units of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable, it is more possible to allegedly equip the handset with an in-house chip. It is also more cost effective and will either help Samsung to reduce the phone price or increase its profit margin.
An earlier report claimed that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 would come globally with Exynos 2500 SoC. This denied an earlier leak, indicating that the phone would have a Snapdragon 8 elite for the Galaxy Chip.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 has been tipped to carry a cheap, thin option, FE or XE branding, first the in-house Exynos 2400E has been reported to be with the chipset.
Unlike the Galaxy Z Flip 7, there are no contradiction about the processor details of the Galaxy Z fold 7 handset. So far all leaks and reports have suggested that the book-style foldable is expected to customize Snapdragon 8 Elite SOC for Galaxy phones.
