Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 allegedly listed on Geekbench with Android 16, Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset

Samsung’s much awaited Galaxy Z fold is expected to break the cover in 7 July. Like the foldable phone of the previous book-style, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is estimated to be unveiled with the Clameshel Galaxy Z Flip 7 model. When we wait for the official launch, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is allegedly seen in the Geekbench database. The device was reportedly listed with model number SM-F966U. The new listing suggests that the phone will ship with Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Confirms benchmark specifications

Reliable tipster Abhishek Yadav (@Yabhishekhd) saw the alleged Galaxy Z fold 7 on Geekbench with model number SM-F966u. It is said that 18,143 marks were scored on the OpenSL test. The motherboard of the phone is shown with codename ‘sun’ with the Adreno 830 GPU, and the test suggested the presence of an eight-core CPU with 3.53GHz base frequency and 4.47GHz peak frequencies. These CPU speed and codename are associated with Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset. Like the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is considered to use high-end Snapdragon 8 elite for the Galaxy chipset in its foldable.

The listing also highlights the OS and RAM of the Galaxy Z fold 7. It is seen with Android 16, and it can run on a UI 8 out of the box. The handset is listed with 10.72GB RAM, that it can be translated into 12GB.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to be official in July at Samsung’s second Galaxy Unpacked event in July. They can be declared with the company’s first tri-folded smartphone.

According to the recent leak, the Galaxy Z fold 7 will pack 7,400mAh battery, 25W wired charging speed, 200-megapixel main rear camera and a better under-display camera. It has been tipped to start from Rs. 1,64,999 for Aadhaar 12GB + 256GB configuration. It is available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options.
