Samsung is believed to have unveiled its Galaxy Z Flip 7 at a Galaxy Unpacked event later this year. While the details about the Clameshell foldable phone have not been officially confirmed, new rumors about its specifications have surfaced on the web. According to a new report, Samsung may use its in-house Exynos 2500 chipset in its upcoming foldable phone. This will be a break from recent times, where Samsung used Qualcomm chipset for its foldables.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 can run on Exynos 2500
As Report By Korean Publication Seoul Economic Daily, Samsung’s mobile experience (MX) Division will start mass production of new foldable phones in factories in Gumi, Geongsangbook-D (Korea) and Vietnam in May. The brand is allegedly planned to produce about 2,40,000 units of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and about 1,70,000 units of Galaxy Z Flip Fe with rumor. Meanwhile, about 1,60,000 Galaxy Z fold 7 units will be allegedly produced in four Kolorway, including a new coral red color option, which matches the Galaxy S25 series.
The report stated that Samsung’s MX Division is conducting a final test on installing the Axinos 2500 chip on Galaxy Z Flip 7. The brand is currently working on adopting its in-house chipset in the next generation flip-style foldable phone which is particularly regardless of the region.
The Exynos 2500 chipset, designed by Samsung’s System LSI Division and built on a 3Nm process, was originally planned to be installed in the Galaxy S25 series. However, it was canceled due to performance issues and other unknown reasons, the report states.
Samsung has used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset in its foldable phone since its inception. If the latest leak comes true, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may be the first to use the company’s in-house Exynos SOC.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is estimated to be launched with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July. It is rumored to come up with a 3.6 -inch cover display and a 6.8 -inch internal performance. This can provide 12GB of RAM facility and can be offered in 256GB or 512GB storage options. It is tipped to obtain a dual rear camera unit including a 50-megapixel primary sensor and 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. It is likely to obtain a 4,300mAh battery and provide 25W wired charging speed.
