Samsung is ready to unveil its first Tri-Guna phone, possibly called Samsung ji fold. The South Korean brand teased its multi-folded phone during the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in January this year, and is expected to unveil it with Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July. As we wait for the official disclosure, a new leak has surfaced online, showing that Samsung can use the latest battery technology for a tri-folded phone. It is also expected to share some features with the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
X user Pandflashpro claimed that Samsung’s multi-tunned phone would have a silicone-carbon battery. The brand was recently rumored to use a similar type of battery in the Galaxy S26 phone.
Silicon-carbon batteries offer progress on traditional lithium-ion cells, mainly by replacing graphite anode with a silicon. This change enables high energy density and allows for more power storage in the same physical space. The honor was one of the first to demonstrate this technology with Magic 5 Pro in 2023, but since then, many brands have launched the phone with a silicon-carbon battery.
In response to a comment on the post, Pandflash said that the battery capacity of the three-folded phone would be “under 5,000mAh”. This indicates that there may be a thin construction in the handset.
Samsung Try-Folded Phone Galaxy Z Fold 7 can borrow some features
In a separate post, the tipster states that the Samsung TRAI-folded smartphone will have the same speaker driver and design cutouts, which will be undeclared Galaxy Z Fold 7 as well as a similar Kaj mechanism. It is said that a flat body is claimed like the Galaxy Z Fold 7. TRAI folded smartphones have been touched to be able to record 8K videos on 30fps.
Samsung’s rumor Galaxy G fold is being announced that the Galaxy Z fold 7 and Z Flip 7 can be an event at the Galaxy Unpacked event in summer. It is estimated to bend inward and there is a possibility of a 9.96 inch display. It can offer a 6.54 inch display when it turns.
Products and Experience Office head at Samsung, J Kim, took a brief look at the Tri-folding phone during the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in January. The availability of the phone is likely to be limited to South Korea and China.
