Schools in 3 Punjab border districts to remain closed today

All schools in Pathankot will also remain closed for the next 72 hours.


Chandigarh:

In view of the tension between India and Pakistan, the border districts of all schools in Ferozpur, Pathankot and Amritsar in Punjab will remain closed on Wednesday.

In vengeance of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Armed Forces on Wednesday launched a missile strikes on nine terrorist goals in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including the basis of Jaish-e-Mohammed Garh and Lashkar-e-Tabiba in Maridak.

The Deputy Commissioner of Ferozepur issued an order that all schools in the district would remain closed on Wednesday, officials said, all the schools in Pathankot will also be closed for the next 72 hours.

Two weeks after the massacre of 26 civilians in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir, military attacks were carried out under ‘Operation Sindoor’.
