An official statement on Saturday damaged a steel roof at the New Ashok Nagar station on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor due to heavy rains with a strong wind on Saturday, an official statement.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) said in a statement, there has been no injury regarding the incident.
The phenomenon occurred during the sudden magic of acute weather, motivating the authorities to stop operations at the station as a precautionary measure.
The statement said, “Due to an intense wind on Saturday, a part of the tin at the new Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat station was damaged. As a precautionary measure, the operation at the station was immediately stopped for time,” the statement said.
A detailed investigation is going on due to the loss and assessment of the range, it is said.
The NCRTC also said that the necessary improvement measures are being started in future to rewrite such incidents.
The station will remain closed for the public till the next information, the corporation said, saying that security remains their highest priority.
Services will resume only after complete inspection and necessary repairs are completed.
