Shaurya Chakra Puruskari’s mother will not be deported for Pakistan: relatives

Srinagar:

A few days after the tragic Pahalgam attack, Jammu and Kashmir authorities have taken 59 Pakistani citizens to Punjab for their original country, said officials in Srinagar said.

According to officials, Pakistani citizens, who had been living in the valley for decades and the mother of Shaurya Chakra Award winner Constable Mudseer Ahmed Sheikh were included, were collected from various districts and were taken to Punjab in buses, where they would be handed over to Pakistani officials.

Shamima Akhtar, mother of constable Mudseer Ahmed Sheikh, who died in May 2022, was one of the exempted. However, he was later allowed to stay back.

In a carefully clarifying clarification, Shamima’s brother -in -law Mohammad Yunus said that Mudsir’s mother had returned home because she was not taken for exile. “We are grateful to the Government of India,” Yunus said.

Earlier, Mudsir’s uncle had told reporters that his sister -in -law belonged to Pakistan -occupied Kashmir and thus, he should not have been deported.

“My sister -in -law is from Pakistan -occupied Kashmir. Only Pakistanis should have been deported,” Yunus said.

After the death of Mudasir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the family, and so on by the Lieutenant Governor twice.

“My sister -in -law was 20, when she came here and has been living here for 45 years. (PM Narendra) I appeal to Modi and Amit Shah that they should not do so,” Yunus said.

Shamima married a retired police officer Mohammad Maqsood, before the explosion of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir in 1990.

The main Baramulla Town Square has been named Shaheed Mudsir Chowk in memory of the policeman.

According to Sheikh’s quotation, he was posthumously awarded the third largest civil award in 2022, for his role in thwarting a major terrorist conspiracy targeting the Amarnath Yatra.

On May 25, 2022, reliable intelligence was received about the movement of three heavy armed foreign terrorists traveling in a vehicle, with a terrible intention of attacking the upcoming Amarnath Yatra. In response to this input, a joint operation was rapidly launched by security forces in Baramulla, North Kashmir.

Constable Mudseer Ahmed Sheikh, an experienced and vigilant member of the operation team, was in a hurry to identify and challenge a suspected vehicle. Recognizing the imminent danger, the terrorists tried to drive.

Sheikh worked decisively by charging on the vehicle, completely disregarding his safety.

In the performance of raw bravery, he managed to physically draw a terrorist from the vehicle. The Brezen Act fired indiscriminately from the remaining terrorists, resulting in serious injuries to Sheikh.

Despite the bleeding and struggling with painful pain, Sheikh continued uncontrolled and continued to compete with his hand with the captured terrorist. He eventually neutralized him.

However, Sheikh died of injuries during his emptying.

Along with her husband, Shamima received the Shaurya Chakra from President Draupadi Murmu in Delhi in May 2023.

After the initiative terrorist attack last week, the Center announced measures to order the Sindhu Water Treaty suspension, demolish diplomatic relations with Islamabad and to order all Pakistanis on short -term visas for leaving India by 27 April or for facial action.

The 59 exempteds include wives and children of pre-militants, who returned to the valley under the 2010 rehabilitation policy for pre-ultras.

Officials said 36 of them were living in Srinagar, nine in Kupwara, eight in Burmela, four in Budgam, and two in Shopian district, officials said.
