Delhi airport operator Dial said on Tuesday that flights could be delayed due to transferring air patterns to the area around the airport.
In recent times, the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has been facing a delay in flight due to closure of a runway for upgrading works and closing a runway.
On Tuesday, Delhi International Airport Limited (Dial) said that some airline operations may be experienced due to transferring air patterns to the area around the airport.

“Air traffic flow management measures for flight arrival will be applied for 2030 hours from IST to 0030 hours, which by ATC authorities to ensure safe operations according to international and regulatory protocols tomorrow, keeping passenger safety as the highest priority,” said in a post on X.
Dial also said that all other operations in terminals and three runways at the airport work normally.
Nearly 400 flights at the airport on Tuesday were delayed, flight tracking website flightradar24.com Civil Aviation Minister’s Rammohan Naidu on Monday, according to information available on Monday, is closely monitoring the “every process” at the ministry airport.
In some quarters, against the background of concerns that the runway maintenance works could be planned better, Naidu also said on Monday, “We are closely monitoring every process at the airport … We have directed them to ensure a better plan in the future”.
Dial has decided to temporarily suspend the upgradation of the runway RW 10/28, which is about 3,800 meters and the runway is expected to be turned on in early May.
There are four runways at the airport – RW 09/27, RW 11R/29L, RW 11L/29R and RW 10/28.
The runway RW 10/28, where a party III is not obedient to operate, was closed for operation this week to complete maintenance tasks. A Cat III feature allows aircraft operation in case of low visibility.
