Teenage girl killed by classmates for not talking to her in Madhya Pradesh: Police

Police said on Sunday that a 17 -year -old student was murdered by a classmate.

An official said that the body of a Class 12 student was found in an agricultural area within the jurisdiction of Urban Police Post on Saturday, which is some 70 km from the district headquarters.

Additional Superintendent of Police Gitesh Garg said that he started an investigation after knowing about the murder.

The police later received information that a classmate was harassing him, he said.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to killing the teenager. The official said that he was upset after stopping talking to him.

The accused asked the girl to meet her in an agricultural area on Friday night, where she killed her with a sharp weapon.

He said that further legal steps will be taken on the basis of forensic evidence.
