Telangana female doctor’s ‘video call’ loses twins after treatment, on investigation

Hyderabad:

Batti Kerthi was eagerly waiting for the birth of her twins, which she had imagined seven years after marriage. But an alleged bottled process carried out by a nurse on the doctor’s instructions on the phone collapsed his hopes of catching children. The twins of Kirti died, and the family convicted the doctor’s negligence for the loss of their crushing.

Kerathi is from Eliminadu village in Rangaradi district of Telangana. He was imagined five months ago through in vitro fertilization or IVF and Dr. Anusha was in care of Reddy. Last month, he visited Vijaya Laxmi Hospital for check-up. According to the news, Dr. Reddy noticed that the cervix of Karthi was loose, put some stitches, advised him to rest, and sent him home.

About a month after the check-up, at around 4 am on Sunday, Karthi was in severe labor pain and was taken to the same hospital. At that time, doctors were not present. On video and audio calls, Dr. Reddy instructed the nurses to complete several medical procedures, including injections. Some reports stated that the stitches of Karethi were broken when they were given an injection for relief relief. Around 10.30 pm, twins were removed from the womb of the carathi. He lost a lot of blood and when Dr. When Reddy arrived, Kerathi was told that his children were dead.

“I had a stomach ache. On the phone, he asked me to take an injection. I was worried, so we came to the hospital within half an hour. The doctor advised the nurses on the phone and he started treatment on his instructions. The nurse started investigating me twice. The doctor said only after my children arrived.

B Venkatswar Rao, District Medical and Health Officer for Rangearddi said that Kerathi is safe. According to a report by The Times of India, “This was very unprofessional by the doctor to allow nurses to perform a complicated process. We would fully examine and submit their reports to the police and higher officials.”

The family of Kerthi has filed a police complaint and an FIR has been registered under the classes of medical negligence. Police have said that they will take further action based on the health department report.
