A 17 -year -old boy committed suicide after jumping from the fourth floor of a popular mall in Mohali.
The video shows that the boy was identified as Abhijeet, near a glass railing on the fourth floor of Bestake Square Mall, 9.14 am on Saturday. He moves twice to the railing, stops once and changes the direction, before he moves fast at 9.19 am, climbs and jumps.
A senior police officer said, “We received a call around 9.30 am that a boy who appears at the age of about 17-18, has tried to commit suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of Bestake Mall. Our team reached the spot within five to eight minutes and was taken to the hospital. We were informed by the hospital a few hours later.
The official said that Abhijeet’s father told him that he was sad. Abhijeet was a medium child and also a elder and a younger brother.
Asked what the boy was doing in the mall morning in the morning, the official said, “Food court and multiplex opened in the mall quickly. Mall’s staff told us that he had bought a bottle of water.”
