The Chief Minister of Delhi saw the man feeding the cow “bread” on the busy road. Do it

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today said that he saw a person in a car throwing a ‘roti’ in a cow and requested him not to do so as it forces stray cattle to come on the road, which threatens people on their lives and roads. He said that ‘Roti’ is not just food but “a symbol of our culture, faith and respect”.

Ms. Gupta posted a video of her conversation with the man on X and requested Delhiis not to throw any food on ‘Roti’ or on the road.

In the video, the leader of the Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been contacted by the man and introduced himself. Then he requested him, not to feed the stray cattle with hands folded by hand.

Ms. Gupta wrote in Hindi, “Throwing bread on the road is forced to come there to eat cows and other animals, which not only endanger their lives, but also threatens the safety of people and vehicles running on the road.”

He said, “Food should not be disrespectful. If you want to feed the animals, please do this in a Gaushala (cow shelter) or in a specified place. It is a sign of our sensitivity, responsibility and values,” she said.

Ms. Gupta’s appeal is after her convoy, which was stopped at Hyderpur flyover for about 15 minutes. Group of cattle wandered on the road,

The Chief Minister was seen getting out of his car to examine animals. His security personnel then intervened to ensure that they were safely taken aside.

Ms. Gupta then issued instructions to provide proper shelter for stray cattle in the area.

In the annual budget of Delhi, an allocation of Rs 40 crore has also been made for the establishment of ‘Model Gaushala’ (modern cow shelter).
